God's Word, when it is understood,
Can keep us free from strife
And when obeyed,
It brings us joy
And nourishes our life.

Knowing God's Word should result in obeying God's Word.

Words of wisdom? i suspect so.... =)
was reading the women's daily devotional that i bought for myself on the bus... and it kinda spoke to me... it lifted my spirits and gave me encouragement.
i shall cut and paste it in here. haha
"we call them 'mountain-top' experiences, although they can take place anywhere. We've been to conferences or special services where the inspiring preaching and wonderful music have made our spirits soar in wonder, love and praise. We feel as if we really have seen a glimpse of God's glory. Then we go home. And it can seem like being at a weding breakfast, after the bride and groom have left. Empty glasses, deflated balloons, dirty plates, musicians silent. A beautiful and meaningful occasion has become an empty shell.
Isaiah's mountain-top experience didn't end when the glory faded because he had dealings with God that changed him forever.
If the 'glory' has faded for you, why not spend a few moments to think back to a time when God has impacted your life?
In the light of that experience, will you say, 'Here am I, send me.'?
ahhh... once again, God hasn't failed to draw me back to Him. i have been too distracted by my feelings and emotions.... and just wanted to wallow in them i guess... and in doing so... missed out on the goodness and mercy that God could have showered in my life the past month... i had those mountain-top experiences before.. and sadly, i've allowed them to fade away. i want to have dealings with God too... so that at any point, though the glory may have faded... the knowledge of God's love for me won't.
there's so much i can do.... the miracle that i've been waiting for, lies in the power of my hands..(as quoted from Pastor Sam =D. ) instead of moping around, i've decided to pull myself together. it won't be just talk... and especially thank you guys... xueli, yiyi and MX... for being there.
finally... for those of u reading... i truly BELIEVE with ALL of my heart... that Speedlight will have a revival!!!!!! i'm excited... are u?? but before we can experience that, we have to press in first.... if it's been a long time since u last saw His glory, His manifested presence, it's time to press in... God draws near to those who draw near to Him.
let's press on...
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
