valentine's day came and went.. and this is one of the most memorable valentine i have ever spent! and before u go imagining a nice romantic dinner or smth, let me just say that i spent this yr's valentine at work. ALL THE WAY TILL 9PM. haha

my colleagues and i threw a valentine special at work for all the graded staff... we had sorta carnival.. to liven things as well as to motivate them.. boy, it was hard work.. right down to the blowing of balloons.. 300 balloons altogether! and all mouth-blown. hah. we all forgot to buy the pump. oh wells... but it all culminated to a really special and fun day of pop-corn, candy floss, chendol and finger foods... all of us literally spent the entire day serving food.. and totally ignoring watver else that we had to do... i so must highlight the name.. cos i think it sounds so cool... it's called Fete D'esprit... the festival of spirit.. bringing out the spirit of teamwork and customer service. cool? haha

the exciting and memorable part is when one of the staff approached my colleague for help as he wanted to make use of the opportunity to ..... *drum roll!!* propose to his girlfriend! sighs. how sweet right? natually, us gals immediately kicked into action. how to refuse such a sweet and romantic gesture?!!! he even had his ring!

we went to search for heart-shaped balloons.. by God's grace my colleague had some stashed in her office! and we did the power point slides to be flashed for all to see... and bought sparkling juice cos no alcohol allowed during work. after the launch of the festival, the sweet guy came forward and made a short speech.. and asked THE QUESTION: will u marry me? his girlfriend was already in tears!!

the whole scene was sooo sweet... really poignant. and memorable. and i am just glad i was involved. who cares abt the hard work put in before tt? all of it was thrown out at the success of the event. though i do lament the fact i spent such a day at work.. there was no regrets for tt part. and a lil' bit is also wondering when i can spend valentine with someone dear to my heart.. *fantasizes* haha.

but i guess.. at the end of the day.. my valentine is deep in my heart. the creator and lover of my soul. *yayys*
